This limited edition series of 6 mixed media collage panels are the result of a decade of watching the slow-motion decay of materials and time. Fascinated by the process and the surprising textural complexity of the materials, I'm drawn again and again to them to record their demise and devise new ways to display their brilliance... and celebrate their design.

water streetRandom Occurrences on Water Street.
All images are captured on one day... places and things, actions, landscape, weather, textures. Together they tell a story of the viewers choosing. Each piece is composed of 8 to 12 photo images, layered over one another and blended to change the relationship with the ones beneath it. Giclee' Printed with Archival Inks on Heavyweight Matte Archival Paper. There are 5 larger compositions that each measure 3' in width... and a smaller sized group of 6 that compliment the larger pieces. 
Dancers in the darkArt and music are inseparable in my mind. Each informs the other. Can you view a piece of art without hearing the musical tones of a string quartet? A ragtime band? A pop tune? What ever musical genre, it is always present in the textures and tones, the colors and shapes of the visual "music" in our soul.
