2025 - Swimming Jewels - Symbol of Purity - Spiritual Awakening
In this serene triptych, I worked to capture the quiet energy of a koi pond with some vivid color, brushwork, movement and natural harmony... hallmarks of the subjects and their environment. Each panel has to function as a standalone piece yet integrates with its nearby neighbors to tell a broader story of balance, life and flow.
Acrylic on 8"x 8"x 1/2" cradled wood panels - 2025 - displayed together or separately. Click to enlarge images.

2024 - Reluctant Adeiu
The inspiration for this triptych was the incredibly textured, naturally occurring background that I found among my orchid collection. After capturing every angle of it's rich depth and icy neutral colors with my camera, I was certain that I wanted to add some contrasting, colorful figures of animals, human forms and the emerging Spring colors into an evolving landscape. For me, the scene represents the moment that Winter, gives up her hold on the Earth and releases a brilliant bird... the central link suggesting a moment of emotion and contemplation.
Mixed Media - photography, wood, acrylic, grease pencil, pastel pencils, ink and markers, glue, and other artifacts on 8"x 8"x 1/2" cradled wood panels - 2024 - displayed together or separately. Click to enlarge images

2023. - Vinyl Worlds... 01 - 02 - 03 - 04 - 05 - 06
This limited edition series of 6 mixed media collage panels are the result of a decade of watching the slow-motion decay of materials and time. Fascinated by the process and the surprising textural complexity of the materials, I'm drawn again and again to them to record their demise and devise new ways to display their brilliance... and celebrate their design.
